Fall 2014 Makeup Trends
As the summer season with its bright colours comes to an end, a new look is finding itself on the catwalk. According to Vogue Magazine this autumn is all about embracing nature and its colours. So what is the trend?
This is one of the simpler looks. A pale foundation gives a naked look which allows the natural features and shape of the face to be shaded and illuminated by light. The pale lipstick and nude eyes means that there is no centre piece, and that rather, the face is to be taken as a whole image. This look would be best used at simple occasions where a formal yet stunning look is required.
This “Ballerina” look uses blusher to really bring out the strong cheek bones. The whole face once again uses pale foundation to symbolise just how pure autumn and winter is. The lilac eye shadow is the centre piece, but this calm colour perhaps is used as a reminder that spring is to come. The simple ballerina chignon helps to draw all the attention to the detail of the makeup. This look would be best used for day occasions as light brings out the details and colours to this eye catching look. All of these looks are simple yet powerful, showing the true colours of nature and embracing a woman’s natural colours and structure of one's face.

This second look also uses pale foundation to really symbolise the fragility
of winter. A pale pink lipstick creates a “school girl” feel: yet the intense, punk black eyes contrast this showing a rebel side. The eye shadow is used under the eye and at the water line to create a daring look. The easily achieved hair style completes this making it simple yet
powerful. This would be best used for evenings out as
the black eyes give this look a feel of mystery.
